WARRUMBUNGLES.

Breadknife on the right -Warrumbungles-
We are now heading further west to Coolah, Coonabaraban and the Warrumbungle National Park. This park is great for scenery and bush walking, the most famous walk is to the Bread Knife but it is a 6 hour walk with some very steep part's, so it was not for us. The happy hour's were great at the Bungles with new friend's to meet each day and a highlight was each night as we sat at the campfire a small Kangaroo would come in close and loved to be tickled under the chin, it was so tame and not afraid at all, each morning we were surprised to see the roo snuggled up close to the fire place to keep warm. I would not have believed it if I had not seen it myself.
Mother's Day was spent in Gilgandra, we had lunch in the park (Hamburgers). San was a bit upset not to be spending the day with our familie's. A few days later we left for Salt Ash for a surprise birthday party for Lorry at Margaret & Paul's place across the road from the Mills. Then down to Woongarrah for Amie's 18th Birthday (28th may) a good time was had by all, and we are now on our way to Leaheys Creek to pick up our van from John & Michelle's, then on our way to far north Queensland. The Bainbridge's are great company they have made us so welcome and so kind to let us leave our caravan as we do our tripping back to the coast.
