CRESCENT HEAD to MANNING POINT

We have now set up camp at Crescent Head. Way back in the early 1960s this was one of my favorite Surfing Locations, it has a perfect Right break from the point and you could catch the ideal wave for at least 220 yards. (those were the days) today it has lost its appeal for me, as it is now to commercial and to crowded. ( and besides, I can't surf like I use to).
Today the Heaven's have opened up again and the rain is pelting down and also some small hail with it, we have already coped a lot of hail in Q.L.D so I guess that a little more can not too much damage?, the rain has set the Frog's off and their croaking is driving us Batty - they are so loud. Amie rang to say that she had a great time with Shannon at the Macca's Xmas Party, we have sent Alyssa some Photos - they went by Courier Mail.
1/12/05. We have met new neighbour's John and Lynn, who are our age and have been on the road for 2-1/2 yrs (not 2 weeks like they had planned), they gave us a lot of info about road condition's, free stop's and good caravan park's to stay at.
04/12/05 Our son Shane is 37 today, we rang and wished him a Happy Birthday - hope that he has a Great Day.
06/12/05. Sandras Mother`s 2nd year since passing on - we often wish we could turn the clock back in time - but Life goes on - guess no one can take the memory's away. San and I are Enjoying Life more these day's, it is so Relaxing on the road - no Worries' no hassle's Just Good Time's .
07/12/05. We have moved on to Weeroona Caravan Park at Manning Point near Taree, the weather is hot and over 40c even the pool is hot to swim in, later on we went down to the beach for a surf, at the water's edge we came across Hundred's of Pippie's in the wash, so we decided to collect some (200+) for bait and to eat, we had them in our cap's, pocket's, towel's and anywhere else that we could put them, it wasn't until we were back at camp that we found out that it was illegal to take them from the beach, you can only have 20 to use for bait fishing, we panicked and salted them down and hid them under the caravan.
There is a lot of wildlife in the park - Large Frill Necked Lizard's, Goanna's, Mopoke's nesting in the tree's, White tailed Black cockatoo flying overhead, plenty of Oyster's from the river - medium size but good. Dolphin's are playing in the river. Cathy and Posso drove in to see us and we will see them in January next year.
We have now packed up and moved on - went to Lorry & Ken's to help them out for a few day's - very busy now - each day was full on until we left on xmas eve.
