TOOWOOMBA to STANTHORPE

26/08/05. Tonight we have booked into Toowoomba, it is the biggest inland city in Australia - and what a Shock, there are Semi's going up and down the highway with there air brake's on right next to the caravan park (The Jolly Swagman) as well as Police, Fire Brigade and Ambulance blairing out there wailing Siren's, - its like being back in Heckenberg.
27/8/05. Took a drive to see the Farmers Arms Hotel at Carabah, it is the oldest Licensed Hotel in Queensland, it was built in 1876 and in 1976 it was First satellite Broadcast of a Sporting Event in Australia, there was a challenge between England and Australia in the game of Dart's. We drove on down the road to The Austrian & German Grand Father Clock museum, so many to see - over 1000 in here, such a Beautiful Display and all hand made, Sandra said that it was like being in Austria ? (not that she has been there). After that we went to a Mexican Store with a Fantastic display of Mexican cloths etc and a lot of Cactus Plant's for sale - we bought one for Shane. Today
28/8/05. It would have been Sandra`s Brother David's 55th Birthday, she is thinking of him with a heavy Hart - we all miss Dave so much, San said that there is rain on the way ? Her old Knee's are hurting, and sure enough down it came - by the bucket load, not much to do in the rain so we went to the Movies - to see "Unleashed" not Sandra's scene, she left after about 30 minutes, could not handle the Violence said never again.
30/8/05. Judy and Adrian invited us to join them for dinner at their Stanthorpe home. Adrian brew's his own beer.
We moved from Toowoomba (it means Water Sit Down in Aboriginal Language). To Stanthorpe on Thursday 01/9/05). The first day of Spring for us in Stanthorpe, nice big park, a Big 4, and had a browse at the museum next door - one of the best that we have seen but not enough time to see it all. Judy and Adrian called in and picked us up for a tour of the town and later on Dinner at there Home, we went sightseeing to a Winery owned by friend's of their's, they also own a Apple and Cherry orchard + a Capsicum farm as well as making Ice Cream at the Winery, all the Fruit is Organicly Grown.
